As someone who's lived in disadvantaged communities before, I understand the desire to give back to kids who grew up like you did so that they can get access to better resources and have more options than you did.

I've always been kind of a private person who likes to work in the background, so putting my name and face all over the internet has never really been my thing.

But after seeing my ability to help struggling students over the past 5 years as a private Math tutor, I knew that it was time to step forward and make a bigger contribution outside of the students who were able afford my undivided attention in person.

Even if it meant leaving my comfort zone and coming out of my shell a little bit...
